Frequently Asked Questions

You should use Liquid Crystal Soak Cleanser for 5-15 minutes daily to clean and disinfect your dental appliance or prosthetic. It works best with the Dr. B Ultrasonic Cleaner.

Liquid Crystal Soak Cleanser is the only cleanser that kills Candida, Strep, Staph, E. Coli, and other dangerous pathogens- the major causes of Thrush, Pneumonia, Digestive and Respiratory Diseases. It is the only soak cleanser that will not damage O-rings on snap- in overdentures.

The drilled hole and foil seal is normal and is just for venting, and does not indicate tampering. Only if the seal itself has been removed or shows signs of damage would that suggest potential tampering.

Our Liquid Crystal Soak Cleanser is safe for all metals and plastics typically used in Oral Appliances. We only caution against using the product on partials made with Ticonium Alloy as it can be damaged by all cleansers. Ticonium Alloy is a metal that had been used in the past on some partials, but now is used very rarely because it was sensitive to damage from any cleanser, not just our Cleanadent Liquid Crystals.

Ticonium is no longer used for partials and we just keep the warning there in case someone has a very old partial. The Liquid Crystal Soak Cleanser has been rigorously tested and was determined to be safe on all materials typically used in oral appliances, including Acrylic, Nylon, Metals and Zirconium.

If there is any doubt, we always recommend asking the lab that made the partial if it contains ticonium alloy. However, to date we haven’t had any customers who had a partial with Ticonium, and no one has reported any damage or discoloration to their dentures from using our product.
